In yet another move to anger some NHL fans, commissioner Gary Bettman has decided to
squash a t-shirt idea poking fun at a new unsportsmanlike penalty, commonly referred to as the Avery Rule, according to the
New York Post.
The League's marketing group came up with the concept of the t-shirt, designed it, got approval from the NHL Players Association and was ready to start having the shirts made until Bettman decided it represented ideals that run counter to his own for the league that no body watches on TV.
You're right Gary, who needs to spark interest in a League most Americans don't even know exists?
